about me

about meDigital Marketing Manager driven by
creativity and originality.

My claim to fame in the world of social media and digital marketing came in 2007 when I sold my ‘Ask A-Rod’ video game column and podcast after being served with a cease and desist for my research on the unfair selling practices of big box retailers in selling video games. The important takeaway from the ordeal was that I could make a living doing what I love.

I’m a 2-time “Top 25 Under 25 Canadian Blogger to Watch” (Front Side Bus) and the 2009 winner of the National Rogers Marketing Competition, for which I also held the title of best undergraduate speaker in Canada. I’ve been a part of marketing and communication for some of Canada’s largest Fortune 500 companies and world-renowned ad agencies.

I’ve spent the last decade growing the social properties of Canada’s most prominent brands, managing all aspects of their online strategy. I’m currently the Senior Manager, Social Media & Community at KPMG Canada.

My work has been featured on websites like DigitalJournal.com, MaximumPC, WhatCulture.com, RipTen.com, staples.com, Nintendo.ca, and adamrodricks.com.

I’m also the host of StaplesTechTV, the official YouTube channel of Staples Inc. (see below)

What does all of this mean? It means that I help businesses resonate with a their target audience and increase chatter amongst these segments, thereby strengthening their online branding.

I’m very blessed to have been able to chat about my passion on television (BNN, CTV), radio (CBC, Sirius XM), and in magazines (CPA Magazine). I’ve also been a contributor to several case studies on social media analytics and engagement strategies that you can find at the University of Toronto, Ryerson and George Brown.

I’ve engaged millions of fans on Facebook, followers on Twitter and viewers on YouTube. Presently, I’m also guest-lecturing at the University of Toronto campuses to students on how they can harness the power of social media and blogging to influence across platforms.
